2020 GYR Chapter of the Year!
Harrison is a Buckhead native and a proud 2012 Westminster graduate. He majored in computer science at Harvard with a minor in Classical Civilizations. He was on the varsity fencing team and served as design editor for the Harvard Crimson newspaper.
Following college, he moved on to the start up world in Silicon Valley. Beginning at the Series C cyber threat intelligence startup Anomali, Harrison learned his trade of Sales Engineering in the field of cyber security.
Motivated by a job opportunity, Harrison moved home to Atlanta coinciding with the onset of the pandemic. The events of 2020 compelled him to actively contribute to the conservative cause. He currently works at Google as a customer engineer.
Jamie is a personal injury attorney at Law & Moran, and a proud Buckhead product. She attended Westminster from 2002-2013 and the University of Southern California from 2013-2016, where she graduated cum laude with a bachelors in Psychology and a minor in French. During her time at Westminster and USC, she swam competitively for Dynamo Swim Club and qualified for Olympic Trials. After college, she went to Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. During law school, she worked at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and conducted preliminary hearings, keeping criminals in jail until their trial dates. She also served as a mediator for the underserved in Los Angeles.
After graduating Loyola Law School, Jamie returned home to Atlanta and studied for both the California and Georgia bar exams, passing both. Prior to working at Law & Moran, she clerked for the Honorable Timothy C. Batten, Sr., Chief Judge of the Northern District of Georgia. She is excited to make Buckhead great again!
Anthony "Rek" LeCounte has worked and volunteered in the liberty movement for nearly his entire adult life. While living in Northern Virginia, he worked in communications for the American Legislative Exchange Council and the Institute for Justice and previously served on the board of the DC Chapter of the Log Cabin Republicans. He studied Political Science at Yale and earned his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2021, after which, he and his husband Alex, who graduated from UVA Law School, moved to Atlanta. While living in Charlottesville, Rek and Alex were married in a ceremony officiated by their congressman, Denver Riggleman of Virginia's 5th district, after volunteering for his election campaign during the contentious 2018 cycle. It marked the first time an incumbent Republican congressman had ever officiated a same-sex wedding. Rek now works for Google, where he manages engagement with right-of-center content creators on YouTube.
Buckhead's future is bright.
